So I was browsing the Wired Blog today when I ran across a youtube video that really took me back. I mean WAY back. It was a Sesame Street video with a pinball animation counting from 1 to 12. And that was it. But the music was like, damn!
It’s got a crazy funk track behind it, with all sorts of meter & tempo changes. The bassline is SICK. It’s too bad, they REALLY don’t make them like this anymore. One thing’s for sure, if there are ever any little A9’s running around, they’re learning to count with The Count. And that’s word to Big Bird.
Oh, man! I do remember this. LOL. You’re right, I never realized just how funky the track is! Damn. These days I doubt they would even get live musicians together.

yoooo….check out “Many Moons” by Janelle Monae. Theres a riff she sings that is similiar to “1,2,3,4….”
